WHEN RADICALISATION MEETS BUREAUCRACY: FLUID RADICALISATION AND ITS CONSEQUENCES ON POLICY ALTERNATIVES IN INDONESIAN DE-RADICALISATION POLICIES

The increasing attention to counter-terrorism practices through and de-radicalisation policies has not been matched by in-depth comprehensive studies on terrorism radicalisation.As a result, there is misconception of both, leading discriminatory policies, which allow certain groups the state commit violence take freedom from stigmatised as radical.This study seeks examine radicalism exploring interpretation government an institution, authority interpret radicalism,resulting in de-radicalization policies. A dataset consisted news items about activities radicalisation three ministries/non-ministerial institutions wasused for corpus linguistics (CL) critical discourse analysis (CDA) assisted AntConc application. We found that agencies developed interpretations radicalisitonas part their main duties functions. Radicalisation become very flexible concept, adapting bureaucratic spaces, be solved but obtain budget spaces. Finally, responded entry public issue fragmenting whole concept splitting it into various agencies, where suitable resolved,rather than unifying comprehensively inthe National Counter-Terrorism Agency's mission.
